September 16 : Cross Stitch WIPs and Halloween Countdown

Already Back to School time! Love this period which I find inspiring for new projects, learning new things, creating a new routine, trying to implement healthy habits…it feels to me like a time for new resolutions like New Year Day for some people. For the coming weeks, I am trying to get some significant progress in my cross stitching projects as October will be a special month for my crafting…

Halloween Subscription

Recently, while watching floss tube videos, I discovered Stitchy Box, a website offering subscriptions to receive stitching goodies to your door every month or so. I like their concept and their choice of fabrics, threads and embellishments. In addition to their classic subscriptions, they are offering special boxes and I couldn’t resist the one called Count Down to Halloween. Here is the description from the website : ”Our Countdown to Halloween box includes 31 hand-selected stitching goodies, individually wrapped so you can open one each day from October 1st through Halloween. Threads, fabrics, embellishments and charts – you’ll find lots to inspire your spooky stitching in this box! We are planning several products that are exclusive to this shipment, so this is one you don’t want to miss.” I can’t wait to receive it!!!!

Postcards from the World – Clouds Factory

Clue #8 (Sydney, Australia) is now completed! August’s block is so refreshing with its pastel colours, and seriously, how cool is this surfer guy? Only 4 more blocks to go to finish 2016 stitch along. I am really liking it and feel happy I chose this one as my first yearly stitch along. Love the designs, the colors, the general display, the instructions, love everything about it πŸ™‚

Mysterious Halloween Town – The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery

It would be sooo nice to have this one completed for Halloween! So, it got some love lately and about 25% of the design is now stitched. I find it extremely enjoyable because of the many little motifs that make this piece all but repetitive. My favorite part so far is the scarecrow with his birds and pumpkins πŸ™‚
